Nigeria first IVF baby gets admission into European University to study medicine

Nigeria’s first IVF baby, Hannatu Kupchi has gotten admission into a Hungarian university to study medicine.

Hannatu, who was born at Nisa Premier Hospital in Abuja on February 11 1998, says she wants to pursue a degree in medicine so she can also help married couple have their own children.

Hannatu's parents waited 13 years for a child before going the IVF route."God has a big hand in this. God was behind me.

I want God to use me to get to more children. I am hoping that through me God will make people see the value of having children.

I will specialize in genealogy and obstetrics. I barely made it beyond the cut off mark. God helped me. I am going to try my best and make everyone proud.

I am studying medicine because I want to be a doctor. I want to study it because I want God to use me to help families who suffered what my parents went through,” she said

jose Mourinho-Chelsea completes pedro signing from Barcelona.

Chelsea have signed Spain forward Pedro from Barcelona for £21m.

The 28-year-old has agreed a four-year deal and is the Blues' second signing in less than a week after the arrival of Ghana defender Baba Rahman."I am very happy to be here. I am very excited to start my adventure at Chelsea and I am here to keep winning titles," he told the club's website."Thanks to the club and the supporters for giving me the opportunity to put the blue shirt on."

The Spain international, who was a target of Manchester United, is a product of the Catalan club's academy and has scored 99goals in 326 appearances since his debut in 2008.

Pedro made his debut for the Barcelona first team in the 2007-08 season under manager Frank Rijkaard, but it was not until the following campaign that he made his mark on the side.

In 2009, under new boss Pep Guardiola, Pedro was part of the side that claimed an unprecedented six-trophy haul by winning La Liga, the Copa del Rey, the Spanish Super Cup, the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup, with the forward becoming the first player to score in each of those tournaments in a calendar year.

In all, the Tenerife-born attacker won 20 major trophies at the Camp Nou, including five domestic titles and three European crowns.

He scored 99 goals in 321 appearances for the club, the last of which being the extra-time winner in the 5-4 UEFA Super Cup against Sevilla earlier this month.

On the international stage, Pedro has scored 16 goals in 51 appearances for Spain and has won both the World Cup and the European Championship for his country.

Very happy, I’m already Blue! Thank U all and specially@FCBarcelonafor make possible to reach this point— Pedro Rodríguez

Mikel obi snubbed me - says Nigeria Coach oliseh

The Chelsea man refused to pick calls from the Super Eagles coach during his recent trip to England and is the reason why he was left out of the squad Nigeria coach Sunday Oliseh has sensationally revealed that he was snubbed by Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel during his recent trip to England.

It was the reason the player was ignored from the squad that would face Tanzania next month.

Oliseh told media on Thursday in Abuja that he had attempted to reach out to the midfielder ahead of the Community Shield game against Arsenal but he was rebuffed by the 28-year-old’s decision not to respond to his phone calls.“I met with the players when I went to England on Thursday, the day Chelsea was coming back from a tour before they played Arsenal in the community Shield,” said Oliseh.“I put a call through to John Obi Mikel.

I called him four times, the phone kept ringing. I sent him a text message, I got no response. I called [Victor] Moses, the phone rang three times.“And I spoke with [Moses], I told him to concentrate on his game and after the game he came to my hotel room we spoke and I made him understand that my priority is building a new team and everybody is starting from zero and I needed to see players playing.“From there I [made] a trip to Liverpool there is no secret anymore, you all know about it [meeting with Jordan Ibe] everybody knows.

I spoke with other players and their parents and I never got a call back from Obi Mikel until I traveled back home. But just yesterday I saw a missed call on my phone so at the moment I don’t know what the situation is now.“For me everybody is the same and every player we call answers.

To us it’s not up to me but I want to clear one thing if anybody wants to play for the Super Eagles we will all be treated the same way.“I even told the players playing at home that home based player for me doesn’t exist, if you are a better player in Nigeria we will play you.

The thing is that I have not spoken to him and I made efforts but no response, so I don’t know what to do. You people should tell me what to do, I don’t know,” Oliseh asked.

Nigeria continue to prepare for their first game under Oliseh’s reign as they take on Tanzania in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on September 5 in Dar es Salam.

Chelsea steals man utd deal for pedro

The Red Devils' unwillingness to match Barcelona's €30 million asking price has alienated the 28-year-old, who believes he would enjoy a more important role at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea are now in pole position to sign Barcelona forward Pedro after making a late bid to hijack Manchester United’s move for the Spaniard,Goal understands. Pedro travelled to London on Wednesday morning to hold talks with Chelsea ahead of a €30 million move, and personal terms are not expected to be an obstacle to completing the deal.

United have pursued Pedro for much of the summer but the Spaniard is understood to have become frustrated with the Red Devils' unwillingness to match Barcelona’s asking price of €30m, while conversations with close friend and former team-mate Victor Valdes have left him wary of Louis van Gaal’s management style.

Jose Mourinho is a long-time admirer of the 28-year-old, who can play anywhere across the frontline, and Diego Costa's sluggish start to the season has convinced him that his Chelsea squad needs another goal threat.

The Premier League champions are so far the only club to indicate that they are happy to meet Barcelona's asking price.

Pedro's change of heart will be a big blow to Van Gaal, who is looking to bolster an attack presently over-reliant on Wayne Rooney following the departures of Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao.

United came tantalisingly close to sealing a deal for the 28-year-old prior to Barca's two-legged Spanish Super Cup clash with Athletic.

Last week Van Gaal admitted that Pedro is precisely the kind of fast, penetrative forward United need, but the club's decision to play hardball with Barcelona over price has alienated the player.

Pedro's push to leave Camp Nou after seven trophy-laden years in the first team is borne out of his desire to be a key player at a top club and the strength of Chelsea's interest has convinced him he will enjoy such status at Stamford Bridge.

It is also understood that - despite numerous media reports - Manchester City never harboured a serious interest in signing Pedro, having already acquired Raheem Sterling andidentified Kevin De Bruyne as a top target this summer.
