Football Match interrupted by drone on the pitch (photos)

Uruguay's goalkeeper, Fernando Muslera had to remove a drone from his penalty area during a game against Ecuador whic hhis side lost 2-1.

The Galatasaray shot-stopper was called into action after the flying object had landed on the pitch during the clash between the teams.

Mama Taraba paid Atiku A courtesy visit

The Taraba state governor-elect Sen A'isha Alhassan and Taraba APC executive committee on Sunday paid a courtesy visit to former vice president Atiku Abubakar in his abode in Adamawa.

They were welcomed by the elder statesman and also the governor of Adamawa state Umar Bindow.

President Muhammadu Buhari during his recent trip to India played host to two young ladies from Kano State, who just bagged M.Sc degrees in the First Class category.

During his meeting with Nigerians who live in India, held at the premises of the Nigerian High Commission, New Delhi, President Buhari granted private audience to Aisha Umar Auwal, and Jamila Muhammed, who had been sent on scholarship by the Kano State government, to pursue Master’s degrees. Both made First Class Honours.

The President lauded the two ladies for their feats, and commended such industry to Nigerian youths. He also praised the Kano State government for its emphasis on human capital development.

Second half strikes from Victor Osimhen and Funsho Bamgboye were all the Eaglets needed to become world champions for a record fifth time, and the second country to successfully defend their title after Brazil.

President Muhammadu Buhari will officially inaugurate a new Federal Executive Council on Wednesday, November 11, 2015. Before the commencement of the inaugural session ofthe council, the ministers-designate will take their oaths of office in the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa.

The swearing-in ceremony will begin promptly at 10:00 Hours and the ministers-designate are expected to be seated in the Council Chambers by 09:30 Hours at the latest.

Each minister-designate can only be accompanied to the swearing-in ceremony by a maximum of two guests. Also, following the confirmation of their nominations by the Senate, President Buhari will tomorrow at the Presidential Villa, preside over the swearing-in of Prof. Mahmood Yakubu as Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and five others as National Commissioners of INEC. The swearing-in of Prof. Yakubu, Mrs. Amina Zakari, Mr. Solomon Adedeji Soyebi, Prof. Antonia Taiye Okoosi-Simbine, Dr. Muhammed Mustafa Lecky and Alhaji Baba Shettima Arfo is scheduled for 11:00 Hours in the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa.
