Exclusive - Dante happy at Bayern, says spokesman, as Man City link quashed
Manchester City have been dealt a blow in their attempts to sign Dante, with his spokesman insisting the defender is happy to stay at Bayern Munich.
Manuel Pellegrini is searching for a long-term defensive partner for skipper Vincent Kompany and reports in Germany claimed he had identified Dante as his top target.
The Brazil international arrived at Bayern Munich from Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2012 and was an integral part of the side that secured a historic treble last season.
City would be willing to pay big money to take Dante to the Etihad Stadum, but they may now have to look elsewhere as the 30-year-old has no plans to push for a move.
“Reports of Dante heading to Manchester are just rumours,” his spokesman, Leo Scheinkman, told talkSPORT.
“He is happy at Bayern working with Pep [Guardiola] and is focused on having another great season in Germany ahead of next summer’s World Cup in his native Brazil
